Kiran leads the Planning and Development team at LWLP and has over a decade of experience in the development and turnaround of mixed-use places – from destination areas to highly urban environments across North America. She has worked with developers, city governments, pension funds, community organizations and institutions to offer solutions to complex development challenges, creating value through an integrated approach to physical design, programming, market positioning and financial planning, through to project implementation. She focuses on the details of each space, while thinking about the larger scale project or place. Kiran has been involved in the redevelopment of the Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto, several food-oriented destinations, destination waterfront villages and downtown developments and revitalizations from the mid-Atlantic to the southeastern United States.
Kiran holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Urban Geography from McMaster University and a Master of Planning in Urban Development from Ryerson University, where she remains a mentor for the Urban Planning program. Prior to LWLP, Kiran served in the public sector at the Ontario Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing and at the City of Toronto.
Kiran is an urban enthusiast, and her experience allows her to bring a comprehensive perspective to each project, building upon local knowledge to create and improve places that are both unique and authentic.
