The Town of Innisfil is located on the western shore of Lake Simcoe in Simcoe County, just north of Ontario’s Greenbelt. In recent years, due the growth and limited land supply of northern neighbour Barrie, as well as the mandate of Provincial Policy Statements, the Greenbelt Act and Plan, the Places to Grow Act and its associated Growth Plan, Innisfil has been experiencing greater pressure for development.
