Tamara joined the team as LWLP’s Director of Finance in 2016. Tamara is a senior financial and accounting professional with over 20 years of experience in related leadership roles. She obtained her Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) designation in 2001, and earned the Carswell Thomson Professional Publishing Award for academic excellence in taxation at Concordia University. She possesses diversified industry experience in real estate development, retail, and manufacturing.
Tamara began her career in public practice in the field of audit and assurance. She left public practice to join Intrawest Corporation as a Controller of the resort development group. In that role, she oversaw the financial accounting and proforma management teams responsible for their multiple large-scale resorts across North America. She then diversified into the retail industry as the Director of Finance for a publicly traded national retailer. In this role, she led the accounting and finance team for over 9 years.
Tamara has a proven ability to plan and manage large-scale financial functions of a corporation utilizing a broad financial and accounting knowledge base. She possesses strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills and strives to create and establish strong financial and operational policies, procedures and best practices.
