As a Development Analyst, Mabel works closely with the LWLP team to support our real estate development, community building and placemaking efforts across various projects.
Mabel recently completed her Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning (BURPI) at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU – formerly Ryerson University). She is passionate about bringing communities to life, especially creating great “year-round” places, and has a keen interest in brownfield redevelopment projects.
She previously worked as a placement student with the Canadian Brownfields Network and as a Research Assistant for the “ReActivate” lab at TMU. In addition to her planning background, Mabel is a self-taught graphic designer and loves to hone this skill within her planning projects to visually communicate development strategies and initiatives in a compelling manner. Mabel is passionate about the concept of the “15-minute city” and believes that the core of every great community is the ability to accommodate people of all backgrounds, allowing them to thrive without barriers and with convenient access to the amenities that help improve their quality of life.
