Copper Mountain is located in the Rocky Mountains, 75 miles west of Denver. It offers over 2,465 acres of in-bounds terrain and 2,601 feet of vertical from a summit elevation of 12,313 feet. It is the second largest and is the largest resort in Summit County. In 1997, Intrawest Corporation purchased Copper Mountain Resort, transforming it into a year-round destination.
