Over the past decade, through the community’s efforts, the revitalization of Guelph has renewed the places and spaces in the downtown core, attracted new businesses and residents, and supported innovative projects. An energetic, vibrant urban neighbourhood has resulted in unique shops and restaurants, award-winning community spaces, and numerous events. The Baker District redevelopment is a City of Guelph development project aimed at transforming an existing parking lot and adjacent properties into a unique mixed-use development, including a new main library.
