The City of Waterloo, Wilfrid Laurier University and the Waterloo Region District School Board are exploring partnering on the development of new community hub on lands controlled in, and which make up 17 percent of, the City’s Northdale neighbourhood. The vision for Northdale is to create a revitalized and re-urbanized neighbourhood that is diverse, vibrant and sustainable and integrated with educational, residential, commercial, cultural, heritage and recreational functions with improved open space, pedestrian, cycling and transit networks.
